Black America: The Home Of the Free and the Land Of the Lost

Black America is overdue for a revolution, but how can we revolt if we have made ourselves to be jesters of a society that is based on the labor and demise of ethnic people? Our own self-hatred, lack of motivation to educate and better ourselves, infighting, extreme promiscuity and the envious pursuit of all things that were intended to only be pleasurable follies for the privileged have destroyed us. We have allowed a nation of people, who were robbed of a rich heritage, become ill-defined by hip-hop and materialism.
The blood of our youth is on our hands. Why? Because for too long, we've accepted handouts that have pacified us. We're weak, cowardly and are in no position to be taken seriously. We have neglected responsibility for those who are deemed dregs by retreating to our suburban havens.
Our women are no longer honored, not even by the men who they've supported for generations; and our men are feared to a point where death or incarceration are the prescribed methods to control them.
Too many of us have stood by in silence, hoping that someone else will lead the way for us to take control of our own destinies, but the more we wait, the more endangered we become. It's time for us to act before all that those who came before us lived, breathed and died for, is lost.
